Privacy policy

I. Purpose

Door G (“Door G,” “we,” “us,” “our”) takes the privacy of our clients, team members, and interested parties seriously and is committed to safeguarding their privacy while using our services and/or while we are in possession of their information. This policy describes the types of information we collect, how we may use that information and with whom we may share it. Our Privacy Policy also describes the measures we take to protect the information shared with us. By using Door G’ services, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use our services. We reserve the right to modify the terms of this Privacy Policy from time to time. Your continued use of our services following the posting of changes will mean you accept those changes.

II. Scope

This policy applies to all information collected, processed, and stored by Door G team members and third-party providers working on behalf of Door G.

III. Policy

A. Collection

We may collect the following information:

  1. Client/interested party information: name, telephone #, email address, etc.

  2. Company information: name, address, business information, telephone #, billing information, and/or marketing, design, video, digital information etc. in the course of our projects.

  3. Vendor information: name, address, telephone #, payment information, email address, social security number or EIN, etc.

  4. Door G’ team member information: name, telephone #, mailing address, email address, date of birth, social security number (or equivalent), payment information, etc.

  5. Applicant information from candidates for employment or internships: name, address, telephone, work authorization status, resume, licenses, employment preferences, etc.

  6. Correspondence: any information provided through related communication channels.

  7. Any multimedia shared with or provided to us.

B. Ways of Collection

We collect information in the following ways:

  1. Information given to us by a client/interested party.

  2. Interested parties entering contact information via our website or connected 3rd party service provider.

  3. Market research information collected from various commercially-available providers.

  4. On-boarding process for Door G’ team members and third-party vendors.

  5. Information provided by applicants via Door G’ Careers Site and associated platforms.

C. Use of Information

Door G uses the information we collect in a variety of ways, including but not limited to the following:

  1. Conducting research and analysis (for example, market and consumer research, security research and analysis, and trend analysis);

  2. Providing solutions to the problems presented to us by the client;

  3. Providing customer support, managing projects and responding to requests, questions and comments;

  4. Communicating about general Door G information, special events, programs, surveys, contests, sweepstakes, and other offers and promotions;

    a. No mobile contact information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All SMS/MMS based communication will require the recipient to opt in and this information will not be shared with any third parties, unless required to complete communications opted in to by the recipient.

  5. Analyzing and developing new products, services and websites;

  6. Processing candidate applications, conducting reference checks, communicating with candidates about their application, complying with any applicable laws and regulations;

  7. Personalizing content for services;

  8. Complying with and enforcing applicable legal requirements, agreements and policies;

  9. Providing information to third-party benefits providers for Door G team members.

  10. Performing other activities consistent with this Privacy Policy.

D. Information Security

Door G is dedicated to protecting our clients’/interested parties’ information from unauthorized access to, or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of, any personal information we hold. In particular:

  1. Where possible we encrypt the information obtained in transit and at rest using industry standard encryption tools.

  2. We regularly review our information collection, storage and processing practices, including physical security measures, to guard against unauthorized access to systems.

  3. We restrict access to information only to Door G employees, contractors and agents. All Door G employees and contractors are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and anyone violating such obligations shall be held liable.

  4. We restrict access to applicant information only to Door G employees, contractors and agents who are involved in evaluating candidates for a given position. We will make the information available to personnel in the recruiting, human resources, and information technology departments, and in the department responsible for the position for which the candidate is applying.

E. Sharing of Information

We do not share any information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Door G unless one of the following circumstances apply:

  1. We will only share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Door G when we have specific consent to do so, except when we share information to third-party servicers which provide administrative or other services to Door G.

  2. We will only disclose information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures as regulated by law. We will ensure that any third-party servicers that may come in contact with your information will have confidentiality and/or privacy policies equal to or greater than our own.

  3. Door G will only share information with companies, organizations or individuals that are not affiliated with Door G if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to:

    a. Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, including a subpoena, warrant or other process issued by a court of competent jurisdiction;

    b. Enforce applicable Terms of Service and/or End User License, including investigation of potential violations;

    c. Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues;

    d. Address issues related to national security;

    e. Prevent physical, financial or other harm, injury or loss in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity or exposure to legal liability, where Door G believes disclosure is necessary or appropriate.

  4. If Door G is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we will continue to ensure the confidentiality of any information and provide users affected by such merger, acquisition or asset sale notice before information is transferred or becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

F. Consent

We will ask for consent before using any personal information for any purpose other than those that are set out in this Privacy Policy to the extent permitted by law. We will also cease to use any personal information for any purpose if requested to do so except where required by law.

G. Transparency and Choice in Collection Process

We understand that clients/interested parties have different privacy concerns. Our goal is to be clear about what information we collect and how we process and store it, so that each party can make meaningful choices about what type of data they would like to provide when working with Door G.

H. Accessing and Updating Your Personal Information

If at any time a client/interested party would like to access or correct the information that Door G has on file, they should send a request to dataprivacy@addventures.com via email. When providing clients/interested parties with or updating their information, Door G may ask for verification of the requester’s identity before we can act on such a request. Where Door G can assist in providing, correcting, or restricting the processing of your information, we will do so for free, except where it would require a disproportionate effort. You also have the right to request that Door G transfer the data we have collected to another organization, or directly to you under certain conditions. Door G aims to maintain our services and information in a manner that protects information from accidental or malicious destruction. Therefore, it is possible that after a request for deletion of information has been made, we may not immediately delete residual copies from our active servers and we may not remove information from our back-up systems.

I. Application of Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all materials (paper and/or digital) under the control of Door G.

J. Third Party Websites

Our website may contain links to other external websites outside of Door G’ control. Therefore if you click on a link that directs you to another website, please review their privacy policy before providing any personal information.

K. Children’s Privacy

Door G complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of the United States of America where it applies to our information protection activities. Door G does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 unless authorized by their adult guardian.

L. Users Outside of the United States

If you use our services outside of the United States, you understand and consent to the transfer of your personal information to, and the collection, processing, and storage of your personal information in the United States and elsewhere. The laws in the U.S. and these countries regarding personal information may be different than the laws of your state or country.

M. Agreement with the Privacy Policy

Clients/interested parties expressly consent to Door G’ processing of information as described in this Privacy Policy when information is provided to us. In addition, through these uses and interactions with Door G and/or the Door G website, clients/interested parties specifically consent to our collection of information by automated means, and to our subsequent processing of the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

IV. Enforcement

Any team member found to have violated this policy may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Contractors and/or third-party providers found to have violated this policy may be subject to immediate termination of their relationship with Door G.
